There are a large number of tattoo artists on Phi Phi, most specialising in Bamboo Tattoo, making it one of the best places to get a tattoo while in Thailand. Each shop may have several artists, some of them famous for their work. They will all pretty much draw and tattoo whatever you want - just look for a style that suits your taste. Even if getting a tattoo is not for you, hanging out with the guys in the Tattoo shops can still be an entertainment in itself.

- Most tattoo shops will happily work late into the night, but unless you've talked with the tattoo artist already, found your design etc etc, its not a great idea to get a tattoo after a night out drinking buckets - your judgment can be seriously impaired!
