Even though there has been a lot of rebuilding in Phi Phi post Tsunami, the main town still has a bustle of higgledy piggledy tiny shops to lose yourself in. Stores generally have everything priced up, but souvenir or market stalls less so. The locals on Phi Phi are generally lovely people and rarely over price - prices on Phi Phi tend to be more than on the mainland - but the range of goods available in such a small place is amazing and makes for very easy shopping fun.

- In clothes/souvenir shops it's ok to barter but don't expect too much of a drop, they generally offer you very close to their best price in the first place.
- Stores for pharmacy goods, food, fruit, drinks etc generally do not discount but prices do vary from one shop to another - so if you are price conscious shop around rather than try to barter.
